Hunkydory day 4

Hi
For crafters this time of year is the busiest .With orders for Christmas cards and bags and boxes, craft fairs  and even making your own cards and handcrafted gifts for your own family. I only send cards to my immediate family and then  donate to my favorite local cause the money i would have spent on stamps and supplies had i made them . I also donate the cards i have made for  Dt work to a charity shop to do with as they wish . So with that said i find that  good  Quality Christmas card kits are just perfect to be able to make lovely cards quickly and en masse. I have been given a hunkydory craft kit  issue 6  you can find it HERE priced at £12.99  by   In2craft  to see what i can produce with it. I have never bought a hunkydory xmas kit before and have found with this kit the  quality of the papers and toppers is fab and also the free stamps and embossing folder[ even though they are smaller in scale than i normally use } will be just fine to create those bigger scale projects as well as the small scale ones.
I am going to be showing you over the next couple of days  just what can be made using just the kit ,a little extra card and some ribbon and maybe a couple of embellishments that we can all get easily or even already have in our stash.  There is also a magazine in the kit that gives you a host of ideas that you can make using the kit .
I have a teepee card to show you today . an oldie but a goodie . The tree topper just screamed out teepee shape lol

I used an ornate spellbinder die for the background frame. I made a foamiran poinsetta using a lady E die. added some ribbon ,gems and there you go . its a big card it started life as 3 8x8 inch squares so its a statement card . it folds down to send out too but dont forget to give imstructions how to put it together .

Here are a couple of ideas for dressing up a bottle of wine and also a place setting box that houses a handmade mince pie and has a tag on so you can write the persons name on so they can see where they are sat at  the Christmas dinner table

 Here is my second set of projects. A pretty bag and a card to match . I have used the toppers and one of my own ornate spellbinder dies behind the topper. I also used a stampin up bird punch but i am sure you all have a bird die knocking around if not add a poinsettia or a large snowflake instead

Here is the first of my sets of projects . It is a sweet easel card and matching gift bag . I have used nothing extra except gems and ribbon for this set [and obviously the card blank and bag.]
I think a brand new crafter culd achieve these two projects with no problem at all . I will get a little more technical with other projects i make i just wanted to start you off gently .. these 2 projects took no more than 20 mins from start to finish .
These kits are fab also for when your crafty mojo has disappeared but you want to make something pretty lol. so whats in the kit.. Die cut toppers,an embossing folder and a set of stamps that feature houses trees stars and some sentiments.
The die cut and foiled  toppers are beautiful quality and feature robins, cristmas trees , doves, festive food ,stockings. you also get sentiments cardsock and matching inserts ,

My Daughters birthday card ...

Hi

It is time for my mid month inspiration project for the   CraftDeeBowZ  November challenge  where anything goes with a handmade bow. This card was designed around a beautiful piece of lace that i have had in my stash for years and i wanted to make something pretty with it for my daughters birthday. I have also used a topper that has sat lurking in my stash for some time.I distressed it with my Tim Holtz distress tool

I used a tonic die for the butterflies and a pink gem stamp for the sentiment It says "Daughter ,a little girl who grows into a friend"

The leaf spray die was from the works. The flowers are all  from wild orchid.

The delicate double looped bow was made using my CraftDeeBowZ bow maker
