Let your Dreams give you wings to fly Tutorial

Hi all
I made a card in red yellows and gold as a sample for  Artisan Designs Butterflies and more Launch show on march 21st .. I had a lovely response from it on social media and i have recreated the card using different colours for you all to have a go at making for yourselves ... This one is for you Vickie Manning especially as you were so kind in your comments on it
I have dne this tutorial using pics as my video camera equipment is not up and running in my new craft shed as yet so bear with all the pics lol

For this project you will need
1 8x8 card blank
1 sheet  of Heatproof acetate
small piece of plain normal acetate
silver embossing powder and  clear versamark embossing ink
one piece of torn vellum that will fit as a wrap around your card for the sentiment to sit on
1 19cmx19cm piece of watercolour card
Artisan Designs Ragged Dragon butterfly stamp
Artsisan designs sentiment banquet 2  stamp set ...
Tumbled glass ,Brushed corderoy and broken china distress inks

Take your tumbled glass distress ink and smear it onto the normal acetate  and spray with a littkle water
place this ink down onto the watercolour paper and press gently to disperse the watery ink onto it ... lift it and move it around the paper wherever you like randomly to add colour and start creating the background

dry exceess water with a piece of tissue . This softens the colour and helps dry it quickly .
repeat the process with the dusty concorde and broken china ink dabbing excess off each time before you do the next colour

at this point you can repeat any of the colours until you get the effect you like

now using the clear versamark ink stamp out and heat emboss 2 of the ragged dragon butterflies then fussy cut them out  and stamp and heat emboss the sentiment onto your torn vellum piece

now i lay out the design to see where i would like to add some more silver embossing powder

I then take pinches of the embossing powder and add it onto the background i have created .. you MUST heat this from underneath to melt it or it will blow away lol

now you are ready to put the card together
wrap the vellum sentiment around the card . then if you wish you can matt and layer this onto a piece of card that matches one of the colours you used in the background ... i chose the lilac for mine ...then i added the butterflies some gems and that is it ...

I hope you like it and have a go for yourself ... if you do let me know i would love to see it
Happy crafting  ...Stay home and safe
