Sewing themed card

Today I am sharing a sewing themed card using Tracy evans sewing forever stamp set and Chocolate baroque haberdashery stamps . I used  papers by   Craft o’clock  called Vintage Treasures , lace ,twine, sequins , buttons and a lovely quote by Grace Kelly.

Dragonfly matchbox project

 Today I am sharing a project I have made using a tando matchbox kit and inserts and the stunning paper called dragonfly on a music sheet  designed by Annie Lane .

Butterfly canvas

Today I am sharing an A4 mixed media canvas board I have made using distress ink  a chocolate baroque butterfly stamp, AALL and create #87  stencil and eclipse washi tape ,A studio light grunge stencil ,Tim holtz idea-ology words , hand made gesso , texture paste hand made ( recipes below )and some hand drawn doodles

To make texture paste I use 

Half cup of baking soda or talc or bicarbonate of soda . (I use talc smells nicer )

3 tablespoons pva glue 

2tablespoons white acrylic paint 

You just mix all the ingredients together and  You can make it as thick as you like by adding more talc 

I like mine like a thick mousse texture 

 I make loads at a time and keep in an airtight jar . 

From this mixture you can add things to it to give different textures like fine sand etc 

And add pigment to colour it to make coloured paste 

To make it into gesso just add water to the above mix until you get the texture you like

Both work beautifully and save a fortune making it yourself

A4 canvas board and a little creativity

 

Hi all

Today I am sharing an A4 mixed media canvas board . I used Home made gesso , Home made texture paste , AALL and create stencils , mulberry flowers ,a greyboard frame , air dried clay stars ,  a wooden birdhouse  a cabouchon , distress inks and papers from 13arts a few sequins and some glitter

Make your own storage look pretty

 

I have been decorating ring binders  to house my techniques for inky backgrounds, flower making , embossing etc here is the latest A4 ring binder I have decorated .All the binders I have used  came from Here

For this one I have used AB studios 12x12 Dreamland papers , flowers from sweet lilac , sizzix birdcage  die , metal

Embellishments also from crafty lane , shabby chic chalk paint .I used magnets to close the ring binder .

Here is a quick , fun tag I have made using a tando kit from

I used distress ink for the background and simply painted the pieces that came in the kit with posca pens . I added a little texture paste on the palette for a little texture .it was so easy to make and is amazing quality for the price

Exciting new product

 Hi

I was given a brand new exciting product to play with created by Annie Lane . It is called Aurora gel . It is a water based gel that can be applied using a sponge or brush you can read all about it’s uses and properties here

I upcycled an old glass vase . I used a sponge andMy fingers to apply it and I helped dry it using a hairdryer . It applied so easily and gave a lovely texture 

I then added handmade flowers , die cuts beads and pearls and a resin frame . I love how it turned out and the Aurora gel comes in 14 fabulous colours . I used the Roseate shade . The

Pic below was after 2 coats . The pearl finish And shine on this Project is just amazing in real Life ... what colour would you choose ...
