A mixed media plaque

It is Tracey here with my mid month inspiration project  for the Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge  . I thought I would do a sweet little mixed media plaque for a change.
The sponsor this month is Cute As A Button.

It started life as a basic mdf  heart .I added some pretty papers ,stamped on the paper with grey ink and a lovely Indigoblu script stamp to add interest to the background. I then added further texture by adding texture paste through a butterfly stencil.
I applied white gesso using the dry brush technique to the plaque to give it a white wash effect. The words have been stencilled onto white card using a Phil martin creative expressions stencil and lilac ink. I used grey-board and  the sizzix  Bigz  XL caged bird die for the birdcage which I painted with gesso to match the project.
The flowers  are from wild orchid and they were dipped in glue and then into  glitter  to make them sparkle. The bird has been made using the stampin up bird bunch.
The stunning bow was made using ribbon from my MPP pack and of course my trusty                 Craft-dee Bowz  bow maker which makes stunning bows every time and you can find out how to get one from the sidebar on the left

Summertime Beach Babe

It is time for our new Challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ   where  the theme is "Anything with a handmade bow goes"

   For mt DT project I used the cute Busty  buttons beach babe image from CAAB and you will find her HERE .The image was coloured with promarkers.  I used tumbled glass distress ink and a stencil to make the cloud effect behind the image.

I used coastal themed papers from Craftwork cards. The flowers are from Wild orchid. The leaf dies and ribbon are from my MPP pack this month..The bow was formed using my trusty Craft-Dee BowZ bow maker which is my go to bow maker that produces effortless bows every time .you can get your own from Here. The tags I added are from Prima.
